They are a good hotel option if you plan on attending an event or spending time at App State.

Amenities include free wifi, a pool, and a hot tub. They also offer a free hot breakfast buffet daily, and have a snack bar and deli onsite.

La Quinta is pet friendly. Dogs and cats are welcome for $25 per accommodation, per night. You may bring a total of 2 pets with you, each weighing up to 75 pounds. However, there are specific rooms where pets are allowed, so be sure to specify in advance that you are bringing pets, and reserve early. Service animals are exempt from pet fees.

Holiday Inn – Boone – University Area

Holiday Inn is another great choice that will give you a comfortable stay without breaking the bank. This Holiday Inn is located just a 5 minute walk from the Boone Mall and a 10-15 minute walk from Appalachian State University.

Amenities include a pool, free wifi, a hot tub, and an onsite restaurant. Breakfast is available, but it is not included with your stay – the cost runs about $15-20 for adults and $8-10 for children. There are also refrigerators in all the rooms.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Holiday Inn. Service animals are exempt from this rule though and are welcome to stay with you.

Courtyard by Marriott Boone

The Courtyard Boone is a highly-rated midrange hotel located very close to App State – in fact, it is just a 10 minute walk to the university. If you’re coming here for a graduation, moving a child into their dorm, or other event on campus, this may be a good option to consider.

Greenes Motel is a rock-bottom budget hotel in Boone. Some people have had excellent experiences here, saying that the beds were comfortable and it was great for the price. Most have said the staff were friendly. I wanted to include it on this list of hotels because many people are searching for it, and I want you to have all the information you need.

However, there are lots of negative reviews of this hotel too, describing holes in the walls and dirty rooms. Overall, if you’re just looking to save as much money as possible, and don’t mind what the room looks like, this place may be a good option for you.

Pets are not allowed at this hotel.
