Best Towns in America to Visit for 2024 Were Just Named. This Southern Charmer Topped The List.

Richmond, Virginia was just named the best town in America to visit by CNN. Towns were ranked based on numerous offerings to visitors, including food and beverage, attractions, nightlife, culture, and interesting spots.

Richmond got high marks for cultural attractions, dining and drinks, and beautiful neighborhoods. They note its more than 30 breweries and buzzing food scene, as well as tons of festivals and events

History and Culture

Dive into the city’s rich history by exploring landmarks such as The Poe Museum, Virginia Holocaust Museum, and Virginia State Capitol. Steeped in history, Richmond played a pivotal role during the American Civil War and is home to significant historical sites. 

Don’t miss the chance to visit St. John’s Episcopal Church, where Patrick Henry delivered his famous “Give me liberty, or give me death!” speech in 1775. 

Lastly, the city’s oldest market, the 17th Street Farmer’s Market, has been in continuous operation for over 275 years.
